How many canapés do I need for my wedding reception?

We suggest four per guest, if you want additional canapés just let us know. 

We are planning an event and want food, drinks and a covering for the occasion.

We can help! We have an amazing Stretch Tent for hire complete with food and drinks bars plus our team of expert chefs and waiting staff.


We need advice on food timings for our wedding and how the day should be planned accordingly. 

We have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in wedding planning and can help you schedule your special day accordingly.​

Do you cater for Gluten Free and Vegetarians?

Yes, we do. We have a range of Gluten Free pies and sausages.

In fact, we can cater for all dietary requirements and allergies.


Can we hire the bar and staff as well?

We can staff our rustic bar for your event, let us know your plans and we can manage your expectations. 

Can we have both Pies and Mash as well as Sausages and Mash as a main course?

Yes, we can provide both for you on request.


How self-contained is The Sausages and Mash Company?

We can operate just about anywhere! However, we will require electric power source and access to allow vehicles into the event location. We have our own mobile kitchen and waiting staff available.

Is there a minimum number of guests you cater for?

We normally cater for a minimum of sixty guests, however this all depends upon the location, menu choice and availability.


Can we have more than one dessert choice?

Yes! Choose up to two different desserts from our menu. 

Do we need to pay everything up front when booking?

No, we will require a non-refundable booking fee, and our events coordinators will guide you through our finance plans for your event. 


Can we add the fire pits/bowls and food bars?

Yes the fire pits are both solid fuel and gas and can be used anywhere in line with our food bars, making sure your food is presented in style!

Can I have more than 1 sausage in a roll for evening guests?

Yes! This is a common question, it's your event, tell us what you would like and let us make it happen!


What are the set up and set down times for The Sausage and Mash Company?

We normally set up the day before your event and can set down on completion.
​Chat to our events team regarding your specifications and we will work with you.

How far do you travel to cater at events?

Normally 1.5 hours travel time from our business address in Wiltshire.
​However, this is also dependant on the size of the event and our availability. 


What is added to the mash potato?

Pepper, pinch of salt, butter and loads of passion!

Do you have a children's menu?

Yes, we do, please ask us for it. 


Are there any additional hidden costs when booking The Sausage and Mash Company?

No! All prices and rates are attached to our booking form along with full Terms and Conditions.

We have yet to decide on a venue for our wedding, can you help?

Yes we can! We operate at many amazing venues across the South West of England and can highly recommend many venues and suppliers to you. 


How soon ​should I book?

To avoid disappointment we advise that you book as soon as possible; as availability can be limited in the summer months, on national holidays etc.

Do you provisionally hold the date?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provisionally hold any dates until your booking fee is paid.
